Shuttle’s new SX57J3 Supports Intel Core i7-980X Extreme Processor

Shuttle’s new SX57J3 is a screamer, a top-of-the-line small form factor (SFF) mini PC that is as fast as they come.  If you’re looking to pack a massive amount of power into a small space, the new Shuttle SX57J3 is perfect for these requirements.  It busts at the seams with processing power.
Measuring just 33 x 21.5 x 19cm, this tiny PC has been designed to take any 1366 Core i7 proccessor chip, including Intel’s monster hexacore Core i7-980X extreme processor. But not only can you fit an extreme processor, you can also pack in up to 16 GB of DDR3 memory.

The Shuttle SX57J3 can support both CrossFireX or SLI graphics card configurations with its dual PCI-E-x16 slots. It’s also equipped with dual gigabit ethernet ports with switchable failsafe or load-balancing, and two internal SATA bays that can be setup with RAID support.
The SX57J3 is also fitted with a custom heat pipe cooling system, and comes with an 80-Plus certified 500 W power supply.  Additionally, the SX57J3 is equipped with 4 x SATA interfaces and 2 x eSATA ports.
The Shuttle SX57J3 is available without the internal components CPU, memory and drives for $577.
