The next flagship phone from Motorola, the DROID HD, will have a 1280 x 720-pixel resolution

The Motorola DROID HD, the latest and greatest from Motorola, which we reported on 3 weeks ago, has surfaced in the form of a few images and preliminary specifications grabbed from Engadget.

Spec highlights include as follows:

• Gingerbread OS
• A massive 4.5-inch display likely equipped with either qHD or even 1280 x 720-pixel resolution
• An 8-megapixel camera with 1080p video recording capability
• A front-facing camera for video chat
• HDMI-out port.

The phone also appears to be extremely thin, estimated at around 8.5mm and 9mm.
