RIM just put together a three minute video pitting the unreleased and unfinished Playbook tablet against Apple’s iPad. RIM boasts its device’s superior web-page rendering speed, super Flash performance, a perfect score on the Acid 3 browser test with no rendering artifacts, and JavaScript fluidity.

PreCentral.net is reporting that Sprint’s Palm Pre has been designated as EOL (End of Life) by the carrier, meaning it will no longer be sold. Remaining inventory, which is said to be in the hundreds, will be depleted by physical Sprint stores and telesales. The LG L-03C is a point and shoot digital camera with a 12.1 megapixel sensor capable of ISO up to 3200, shooting through a Pentax 1:2.6-5.5 lens with 3X optical zoom. RIM’s Co-CEO, Jim Balsillie, indicated his company’s Playbook tablet would be available in North American markets in Q1 of 2011 for under $500. The $500 price point is notable for the industry as it is where Apple’s 16GB Wi-Fi iPad currently sits. RIM may sell the Playbook through retail stores like Target and Best Buy, and the device would be available globally in Q2 of 2011.

Windows Phone 7 handsets are now available for purchase in the U.S. Microsoft launched its new mobile OS last month in Europe. The HTC Surround, Samsung Focus, HTC HD7 and Dell Venue Pro are already available for purchase. The LG Quantum is also available for pre-order from AT&T. Expect to pay $199.99 for any of the aforementioned Windows Phones, though better deals are available through Amazon.com.
